Calprotectin

Calprotectin is a stool test that is used to detect inflammation in the intestines. Intestinal inflammation is associated with, for example, some bacterial infections and, in people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), it is associated with disease activity and severity.

 

Fecal Immunochemical Test (FIT)

FIT looks for hidden blood in your stool. Since colorectal polyps (which may be precancerous) can leak blood during the passage of stool, this non-invasive screening method is recommended as an important way to catch colon cancer early so it can be treated.

 

Stool Analysis

A stool analysis is a series of tests done on a stool sample to help diagnose certain conditions affecting the digestive tract. These conditions can include infection (such as from parasites, viruses, or bacteria), poor nutrient absorption, or cancer.
